BOOM Esports and Timothy “TIMS” Randrup have mutually agreed to separate ways in advance of the Dota 2 DPC 2023 Season.

The post-trade deadline (TI) shuffle season typically does not leave any team unscathed. BOOM Esports is the most recent organization to report changes in the SEA area. This is their second trip out of town in the space of two days.

Timothy John “Tims” Randrup has been removed from the lineup of the Gamers Galaxy Champions, who had won the title back-to-back-to-back times. Tims first started working with the group in September of 2021. They had a successful season, culminating in their appearance at The International 2022 with a seventh-place finish in the DPC rankings and a total of 1482 points.

They prevailed in a three-way tiebreaker to earn a spot in the The International 11 playoffs and send the tournament’s reigning winners home, but PSG was able to put an end to their Cinderella story.

LGD won the match with a perfect score of 2-0. Their overall placement was somewhere between ninth and twelfth.

PSG put an end to BOOM Esports’ Cinderella run at TI11, which you can read about here.

There is currently no information available regarding the future of Tims and Souliya “JaCkky” Khoomphetsavong (both of whom were let go on the 18th), including whether or not there will be other lineup changes or who will take their place.
